The Slack integration on Connectify tells your team the moment something happens: a paid order, a failed payment, a new lead, a booking, a support email. A workflow starts in another app or on a schedule, and the Slack step posts to a channel, sends a direct message, sets a topic or adds a reminder, with the details filled in from earlier steps.
What you can do
6 Slack actions, straight from the app
Each item is a real step in the Connectify builder. Fields are filled by typing @ to insert data from the trigger or an earlier step.
Slack steps run inside a workflow that starts somewhere else: a Shopify order, a Stripe payment, a Typeform answer, a Calendly booking, a new Gmail email, or a schedule. There is no Slack trigger yet.
Messages
- Send a channel messagePosts a message to a channel, with optional file, thread, broadcast and markdown settings. For private channels the Connectify app must be a member.
- Send a direct messageOpens a direct message with one or more people and posts the message there.
- Send a message to yourselfPosts an italic "me message" to a channel from your own account.
Channels
- Set a channel topicReplaces the topic of a channel with plain text of up to 250 characters.
- Add users to a channelAdds existing workspace members to a channel. It does not invite new people by email.
Reminders
- Add a reminderCreates a reminder for you or another user, timed as "in 15 minutes", a number of seconds, or a timestamp.

Set up Slack in a few minutes
No code and nothing to install. Connect Slack once and use it in any workflow.
- Add a Slack stepOpen Automate in Connectify, create or open a workflow, add a step and choose Slack.
- Connect your workspaceChoose "Continue with Connectify" and approve the access on Slack’s page. You can connect several workspaces and pick one per step.
- Choose the account and action, map fieldsPick the workspace, the action and the channel or person. Type @ in the message to insert data from the trigger or an earlier step.
- Press TestTest posts the message once with real data so you can check the wording before the workflow goes live.
- Check the result in LogsEvery run is recorded with what each step received and returned. If a step fails, fix it and re-run just that step.
Permissions and data
What Connectify asks Slack for, and why
Only the access the actions above need. You approve it on the provider's own page when you connect.
- Connectify posts only the messages your workflow steps build; it does not read channel history.
- Your Slack token is encrypted before it is stored and decrypted only while a Slack step runs.
- The data a step receives and returns is kept in run history for 30, 60 or 90 days by plan, then deleted automatically.
- Disconnect Slack at any time from the account settings in Connectify, or remove the app from your workspace in Slack. Ask support to delete stored data sooner.

FAQ
Slack questions
Is there a Slack trigger?
Not yet. Workflows with Slack start from another app’s event, from a check for new records, or from a schedule, and then use Slack actions.
Can it post to a private channel?
Yes, once the Connectify app has been added to that channel in Slack.
Can I format messages?
Yes. Turn on markdown in the step, choose whether links expand and whether @names and #channels are linked, and post into a thread or broadcast to the channel.
Can I connect more than one workspace?
Yes. Connect each workspace once, then choose the account in each Slack step.
Does "Add users to a channel" invite people by email?
No. It adds people who are already members of the workspace. Inviting new people is done in Slack.
