Privacy policy

Last updated

This policy explains what data Connectify collects, why, how long it is kept and what you can ask us to do with it. It is written in plain English. If anything is unclear, write to us and we will explain.

1. Who we are

Connectify is operated by AppsCorridor ("we", "us"). We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at support@connectify.co.

2. What this policy covers

It covers the website at connectify.co and the Connectify app, however you sign up for or install it.

3. Data we collect

We collect four kinds of data.

  • Website visitors: the pages you visit, your browser and device type, and your IP address, as every web server records. If you use the contact form, we receive the details you type and a Google reCAPTCHA assessment of whether the submission came from a person (see section 12).
  • Account details: your name, email address, password, company name, time zone, plan and billing history. If you install Connectify through an app marketplace, the marketplace also sends us the account details it shares with apps on installation.
  • Data from apps you connect: the credentials that let Connectify act on your behalf in each app, and the records your workflows read from and write to them.
  • Workflow run data: what each step received and returned, when it ran and whether it succeeded. This is what you see in run history.

4. How we use it

We use this data to:

  • run your workflows and show you what happened in each run;
  • operate your account, take payment and send you receipts and service notices;
  • answer your questions and investigate problems you report;
  • keep the service secure, detect abuse and meet our legal obligations;
  • understand how the website and the app are used, in aggregate, so we can improve them.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use the content of your workflows or run history for advertising.

5. AI features

The AI features in Connectify send the text you type, and the structure of the workflow you are working on, to an AI provider so it can generate a response. When you add an AI app as a step in a workflow, the data that step receives is sent to that provider when the workflow runs. Providers process this data under their own terms; we send only what the feature needs. If you use your own AI key, requests go to that provider under your own account.

6. Google user data

Connectify can connect to Google apps such as Gmail, Google Sheets and Google Drive. When you connect one, Google asks you to grant specific permissions, and Connectify uses that access only to run the workflows you build.

Connectify's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In particular, we do not use Google user data for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not let people read it except with your consent, for security purposes, or to comply with the law.

You can remove our access at any time from your Google account permissions page or by disconnecting the app inside Connectify.

7. Who we share data with

We share data only with the companies that help us run the service:

  • hosting and infrastructure providers that store and process it on our behalf;
  • our payment processor, or the app marketplace that bills you, which take payment on their own pages so that card details never reach Connectify;
  • email delivery providers, for receipts and service notices;
  • AI providers, as described in section 5;
  • the apps you connect, which receive the data your workflows send them;
  • authorities, when the law requires it.

Each provider is bound by a contract that limits what it may do with the data.

8. How long we keep data

Data is used to run your workflows, is recorded for a limited time and is then deleted automatically.

  • Run history: 30 days on the Basic and Professional plans, 60 days on Elite, 90 days on Enterprise. It is deleted automatically when that period ends; ask support to delete it sooner.
  • Account details and connected-app credentials: for as long as your account is open, then deleted within a reasonable time after you close it or ask us to delete it.
  • Billing records: 13 months, so we can answer usage and billing questions.
  • Backups: kept for a limited period and then overwritten.

9. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit, and data, run history and backups are encrypted at rest. Credentials for connected apps are encrypted before they are stored and used only while a step that needs them runs. Incoming events are verified before they are processed, sign-in is rate-limited and our systems are monitored. No system is perfectly secure, so if you believe you have found a weakness, please tell us at the address in section 14.

10. International transfers

Your data may be stored and processed in countries other than the one you live in, including by the providers described in section 7. Where the law requires it, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for those transfers.

11. Your rights and how to use them

Wherever you are located, you can ask us to tell you what personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to give you a copy, to restrict how we use it, or to delete it. You can also object to processing based on our legitimate interests and withdraw consent where we rely on it.

To use any of these rights, write to support@connectify.co from the address on your account. We will answer within the time the law allows, usually within a month. If you are unhappy with our answer you can complain to the data protection authority where you live.

12. Cookies

The website sets no analytics or advertising cookies. The app sets the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. The contact page loads Google reCAPTCHA when you start filling in the form; reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies and collects device information to tell people from bots, under the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will tell you by email or by a notice in the app before it takes effect.

14. Contact

Questions, requests and complaints about this policy go to support@connectify.co. The operator of Connectify is AppsCorridor.
